Southwest Asia Service Medal

The United States Department of Defense presents the Southwest Asia Service Medal to the military personnel who performed duty being a part of the Persian Gulf War and sometime after. Their tenure should be between August 2, 1990, to November 30, 1995, and for Turkey and Egypt, between January 17, 1991, to November 30, 1995. The ribbon is tan and bisected by a thin vertical black side with thin vertical green stripes on both sides of the black vertical center stripe. Thin bands of red, white, and blue stripes proceed towards each edge with a thin vertical black stripe at the end.
