The United States Department of Navy awards the Coast Guard Combat Action Ribbon to the United States Sea Service Members who have actively participated in surface combat or in-ground combat. The Ribbon features three white vertical stripes alternating with a thin red vertical stripe on the right and a thin vertical dark blue stripe on the left, flanked by a thick vertical yellow stripe on both sides and a thick dark blue stripe on the right towards the end and a thick red stripe on the left towards the end of the Ribbon.
