Coast Guard Medal

The Coast Guard’s medal ribbon honors the members of the U.S. Armed forces or allies who distinguish themselves with heroic acts on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard. The ribbon is bisected by a vertical light blue stripe followed by four vertical white stripes and three red vertical stripes alternately and a light blue vertical stripe on each side towards the end of the ribbon. This honor doesn’t require the soldier to confront the hostiles.
