Bronze Star Medal

The Bronze Star Medal (BSM)/(BSV) is an award presented by the United States of America Armed Forces soldiers for bravery and acts of merit (meritorious service). Civilians serving with the United States Military forces are also eligible for this award. The ribbon is red, and it is bisected by a thin dark blue vertical stripe flanked by a thin white stripe on both sides.
