The U.S. Armed Forces present the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Ribbon to individuals of the United States Military operations with United Nations or United States operations assistance for friendly foreign allies. The center of the ribbon has three thin vertical stripes of blue, white, and red, followed by thicker light blue stripes on both sides and thin vertical stripes of black, brown, yellow and green proceeding toward the edge on both sides.
