The United States Military presents the World War II Victory Medal to that person who served the armed forces In between 7 December 1941 and 31 December 1946. There are no duration criteria of service to be eligible for this medal. The medal is circular and made of bronze. There is an engraved inscription that reads World War II. The engraved medal depicts a female placing her right foot on a war helmet and holding a sword broken into two pieces.
