The United States Department of Defense presents the Kosovo Campaign Medal to recognise the military individuals who participated in Kosovo from March 24, 1999 to, December 31, 2013. During this period the operations that took place are:

Allied Force – 24 March 1999 to 10 June 1999
Noble Anvil – 24 March 1999 to 20 June 1999
Task Force Saber – 31 March 1999 to 8 July 1999
Task Force Hunter – 1 April 1999 to 1 November 1999
Shining Hope – 4 April 1999 to 10 July 1999
Allied Harbour – 4 April 1999 to 1 September 1999
Task Force Hawk – 5 April 1999 to 24 June 1999
Joint Guardian – 11 june 1999 to 31 December 2013
Task Force Falcon – 11 June 1999 to 31 December 2013

The Medal is circular and is made of bronze which features an image of two mountains in front of the setting sun over the rays the inscription reads Kosovo Campaign.
