The Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) is awarded by the United States Armed Forces to recognize exceptional non-combat service that doesn’t meet the caliber of the Legion of Merit Medal. The Medal is a right-facing eagle with widespread wings and a grasping wreath of laurels. It is superimposed with three points of a five-point star at the top.
