The Combat Air Force Action Medal is presented by the United States Air Force Department as a decoration to recognize the airmen and guardians for active participation on the ground or in the air during combat. The medal is silver and has an eagle with wide-spread wings and head towards the right, holding a wreath of laurels with its claws which forms the outer circle of the medal, and a small five-pointed star hangs above the eagle’s head.
